Apple Cider Cinnamon Butternut Squash

The only way to prepare Butternut Squash...

For Thanksgiving this year I tried to create a small squash dish by mixing a few recipes together, it ended up being really good! I don’t usually cook, nor do I blog recipes, so cut me some slack. Here’s what I ended up doing:

  • 20 oz cut butternut squash
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup butter
  • 1 TBSP flour
  • 1/4 tsp cinnamon
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 1/2 cup of apple cider
  1. preheat the oven to 350
  2. mix all the ingredients into some glassware able to withstand the oven’s heat
  3. cover the glassware in tin foil
  4. bake for 30 minutes
  5. uncover the tinfoil
  6. bake for another 30 minutes
  7. drain most of the liquid
  8. broil for 5-10 minutes, until desired crispiness on top

You should be able to easily stick a fork into the squash at the end
